Actor Celina Jaitley has decided to turn into a fashion designer and she has plans of showing her creations across the world through store launches in a few international cities. Celina has set herself the goal of taking the Indian saree global. Through her new line she is paying tribute to her mother, Maharani Gayatri Devi and actor Sridevi.

“I have been inspired by four women in my life — my grand-mother, my mother, Rajmata Gayatri Devi and Sridevi. I love chiffons, especially in summer, and love floral teamed with light pearls and small clutches and stark contrast blouses,” Celina says. The actor adds, “For the spring/summer I have created a chiffon line. I have experimented with different varieties of chiffons.”

Celina’s line has already made it to stores in India and the UAE and she is now looking at launching the line in South Africa. “It (the plan) is as simple as making the saree a global, sensuous garment,” she ends.
